NFL: Unreported Steroid Scandal

With all the talk about steroids in baseball, I've often found myself wondering why football has avoided scandal. Back in middle school and high school health class, the anecdotes about teenagers using steroids always involved football players. Retired pro bowl tight end Bill Romanowski has admitted to using steroids and human growth hormone. And that's about it.

It just seems naive to me to think that the NFL is that much cleaner than baseball. If anything, I'd expect steroid use to be more rampant in pro football. Anyway, I just want to toss that thought out there so I'll look like a genius when NFL steroid stories finally start to break in the next couple years.

I'll leave you with two photos of former Dallas Cowboy Dat Nguyen, one in college and one in the pros. The 31-year-old just announced his retirement after being slowed by a neck injury last year. Is the swollen head an optical illusion caused by his receding hairline or a side-effect of steroid usage?

It's called again. Dat could have been a sophomore or JR in this photo. So your saying his head grew and his hairline changed. That is a 7-9 year period so yeah that's how the ageing process works we don't get to live and look like we are 20 forever. Your reaching real hard. This transformation for a 7-9 year span is very minimal. If that was over a year or time period than you might have something. And when you speak about Dat Nguyen again you put the Damn respect on his name that he deserves. Look how many people he's over 517 career college tackles. There is one guy I bet you didn't know Dat Nuygen has the 2nd most tackles in college football history. He was a two time all amercian and 3 time all conference player. He lead the team in tackles 4 years in a row. 1998 Gatorade defensive player of the year. If anybody on this year put up those numbers and end your s senior year with 142 tackles 20TFL 4 sacks 2 ints lead his team to there first Big 12 championship and went to there first BCS bowl game. A memorable highly ranked Texas ATM vs Texas games. Texas was the underdog and Ricky Williams put the team on his back and locked us the heisman award. Bill parcels came to clean up with Dave Campo did to the Cowboys going 5-11 3 years in a row truthfully it was Jerry's fault he missed big on a few trades he lost two first round picks with Joey Galloway then for bum ass paid two first round picks for Roy Williams who was trash then when you end up with Quincy Carter and not hitting on any of your other draft picks it will destroy your team single handle the draft is how you build your team. You have to have more hits than misses
